I'm still a Poddie...right?! Every agency I've used in Shanghai (in Nanjing, both of my apartments were passed on to me via friends) has asked for 30% of the rent as a fee. This is, however, negotiable. If the agent only shows you one or two apartments, you can bring that up in your defense. This happened with my apartment before last, and after only showing me two apartments, I paid 20%. I remember Matt C's wife telling me that they almost got out of paying it entirely, and just gave the guy a few hundred RMB.

Of course, I can't say for sure, but I don't think there's enough demand to merit that much time/money/work. Another series is more likely.

5,000 RMB a month is also quite high for Shanghai. 5K here can get you a very nice, at least 2 bedroom apartment in the city. I'd say the average here is much lower than 5K, especially per person. Granted, there are still plenty of people who can afford this. The big cities in China are definitely places of extremes.

That's exactly right. 'Can't afford to buy' is 买不起. Sorry about the confusion. Our system auto-fills some of the roll-overs and we spend a lot of time making them perfect for the context, but sometimes it auto-fills incorrectly (albeit very close), and something slips by. Fix is on the way.

Jiaojie wrote the all the dialogs in the series and also did the voice of Lulu. David did all the audio, and was the voice of Shen Jiawei.

For 'edutainment', you can say: 寓教于乐 (yùjiàoyúlè) and it means just that! Both great words. :)

Glad you liked it so much! It's so awesome to see the final product for us. It's great to see the writing, the acting, and the music come together so well! Just glad I can be a part of it. :) We talked about extending it beyond this, but in the end, decided that some closure was a good idea. I think there's more story to tell though, so maybe we could do a sequel series in the future. For the time being, Jiaojie, David, and Crystal (Yangyang): 你们太棒了！
