Tuoni - that is a *great* video! A bit grating to listen to repeatedly, yes, but very educational. Thank you!! http://tinyurl.com/3dk4zy

Ouch. In looking for lessons with keyword "mortgage" this is the only one that comes up. No clue as to what it's about or what level it's at, as I cannot yet read written Mandarin. A few more clues in English would be helpful.

All I know is that I stayed up late to learn the lesson tonight - even though I'm still in Newbie lessons, I can tackle this. :) Thanks, guys!

Well, the focus on Chinesepod the podcast is on spoken language. I'm doing the best on spoken language that I can. At some point, however, you might want to look toward the written. The PDFs help with that. But still, Chinesepod.com podcasts from their beginning were stated to focus on the spoken language.

This lesson is way beyond my newbie learning. I just want to say that I really, REALLY appreciate - as a musician - that you've covered the basics of this. Xiexie!

I would like to know about the very beginning of mahjong, myself. There are very, very old tiles that are in museums that are just tiles with dots on them - I want to know as much about them as I can. I would also like to know how mahjong and dominoes are related, at how we can play dominoes in a style that might be similar to those very old tiles. Xiexie!

Perhaps it might be a good idea, seeing how it's such a complicated topic, to separate choosing a Chinese name from the food topic? Could be a good thing. I think an entire lesson on choosing a Mandarin name - considering all the implications involved - would be a good idea. :)

I'm not seeing a PDF for this lesson, either. :(
