August 03, 2017, 06:13 PMI have also picked up one of the original Mandarin Companion books a few years back and it was great. Seeing this episode reminded me how good it was and now there are so many more books released, I can't wait to buy and read them all!
I like how you touched on the comparison between graded readers like Mandarin Companion vs something like children's books. I tried reading some children's books back in the day but found it difficult to stay motived with my reading when the stories were so simple and basic. I'm happy that there is more and more content coming out for those of us that want some interesting reading material outside of Chinesepod lessons.

haha, I love this, I actually burst out laughing when I first heard this! You guys should totally do an entire lesson or series on love hotels, I find the concept and culture behind it very interesting! It could also be a useful lesson for those listeners living and dating in China. :)

April 23, 2017, 06:14 PMI thought that the previous lessons on STI's and getting a sexual health check-up were great. Perhaps a lesson on safe-sex and related vocabulary for contraceptives? This could be a tie in with the sexual health check-up lesson or something.

April 23, 2017, 05:59 PMOMG, the funny lesson image and clips inserted into the video were amazing! I love all the humor that is added for those who watch the lesson videos. Overall this has been an excellent lesson, and after driving in LA it made me wonder how I would say certain things in Chinese when I encounter these kinds of situations. :P
