As veronique said, there are 2 possibilites, both with a rising tone on the first syllable, a third tone on the second.

Both 样板 and 行板 would also be OK here I think.

Well I make no claim to be expert in these matters, so I can really only offer opinion and observation. I've been in China for some years now, and it seems to me that 'legal' Windows installations are pretty rare. Nevertheless I've seen installations that are still able to download security updates, and others that aren't and are simply never updated in that way.

Malware and viruses are pretty common in China, you simply have to be vigilant and careful. I have actually seen plenty of Windows 7 installations down here in Guangdong, I'm guessing the same conditions apply.

As to your first point podster I'd have to say it's not something I lose sleep over. Second point I'd guess the answer is no. I don't think I've ever seen a computer in China that has a 'genuine' installation of Windows (*chuckle*), so lack of support from Microsoft is rarely a factor.

Chrome is actually a great browser I think, but sadly in China it rarely seems to work as it should, you know how anything Google related is basically hobbled here.

gallienus's suggestion may well be effective, I don't think I actually tried that.

Actually I have this same problem on the computer which I use in the office at work, (Win XP, Chrome browser). My home computer (Win 7, Chrome browser) doesn't have it, so I just gave up using CPod at work. No idea what the cause or cure is, sorry, I just marked it down to another of the many little tech glitches CPod is prone to.

Well, blow me down! It seems to be working now. Nothing I did, so maybe someone at the pod worked the old magic. Thanks for the support gang.

Thanks for your response podster. I usually use Chrome to view CPod pages as it generally displays the fonts more reliably. Doing so I find that every single recent lesson works fine... except this one, so it's probably another of those inexplicable CPod tech glitches. (Just tried it in Firefox with the same result, anyway no matter.)

哈哈, I doubt it Bob, but it's good that you're back on your meds.

Is it me or are none of the sound files on dialogue, vocab and expansion tabs working?
