October 18, 2009 at 10:02 PMHow about this sebire?
在刚刚的这些... 情况... 底下用就又很奇怪。
If I was transcribing it I'd put that and hope it was right!! I think it's one of those moments when Jenny is kinda thinking about the language as she speaks, and what she says is perhaps not that clear.

October 18, 2009 at 9:47 PM哈哈!An amusing suggestion. I was about to tell everyone it means to 'blow the cow' and make some kind of joke, but on reflection I'd better just say that it means 'to be boastful', to 'talk big'. ;)

October 18, 2009 at 9:36 PMLooks like RJ is into life-saving too! Didn't know about WLCP, looks interesting, I'll check it out.
Thanks for your diligence with the transcript calicartel! I'll check it again later. ;)

October 18, 2009 at 6:50 AMWell, there go any hopes I could ever have to be seen as an art buff! ![]()
Sorry miantiao mate, the only thing I can remember about Ned Kelly is that Mick Jagger once portrayed him in an (I guess) forgettable movie. Oh, and he liked wearing ironmongery. I'll have to do a little research and educate myself.
Anyway my only idea of a (homicidal) Australian hero comes from the movie The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith. I hope you'd approve.

Ahh, is that what it is? I'd concluded it was some kind of horse-robot hybrid, with the rear end presented as the place miantiao does his talking from!
(I'm only kidding sport, don't tie me kangaroo down!) I'll be happy to put into the hat when it comes around!

Usually I won't take issue with the English translations provided, but I feel that the translation for one of the expansion sentences is rather misleading.
跑步 would surely be much better translated as 'jogging' or 'running' NOT 'racing'.

I'm not sure when exactly they started including all of them on the Audio Review, but it is nice to have all of them on it.
Sometimes I'll edit a file to get rid of bits I don't like or don't need, (for example at times the English translation is unnecessary or annoying.) It's fiddly, but at least one gets what one wants! I haven't tried it out personally, but I believe this software can do the job effectively.

October 17, 2009 at 2:34 AMWell, as far as I'm concerned it's:
děng huì'er
I don't know why it's marked with a 3rd tone in the PDF and on the Dialogue tab. Probably a typo. Am I wrong?
@changye - 哈哈!Good point! That's related to context I guess! (Of course sometimes a boss will dispense with such formality if he's planning to 炒鱿鱼!)
