October 30, 2007 at 11:39 PMMy question concerns the expansion exercise question "你们的血型不匹配，你不能给她输血." Accordingly "血型”is pronounced "xue4xing2" while is pronounced "shu1xie3." How is it that the tones/pronounciation "blood" change so dramatically? Are there other examples？ What is the typical proper pronunciation for "血“？
