i think there is a mistake in the dialogue, because 李先生is 45 years old, so when a person is more than 12 years old, for asking the age we usually use 多大 instead of 几岁. am i right?

lujiaojie, your translations are very easy to understand and you were VERY SMART by using the same words in all these 3 examples, because i know there are also other ways to say the same thing, but the sentences you made are CLEAR, SIMPLE, and EASY for beginners.

you should be a very good teacher...

I totally agree, and i am surprised it took 6 years to Chinesepod to make this lesson, because the first thing a foreigner do when he arrives to China is go to a hotel, and the maid doesn´t speak english.

I guess that the most convenient time for everybody to have your room cleaned is when you go to have breakfast, so when you return to your room is already clean and you can receive guests. so another essential things are:

-how to ask the maid if she can clean your room NOW.

-how to ask to the reception desk to tell the maid to clean your room NOW.

-how to complain to the reception desk that your room was not yet cleaned.

How could a foreigner that doesn´t live in China learn chinese without Chinesepod?? Imposible!!

Anyway, reading how John learned chinese (http://www.sinosplice.com/life/archives/2007/05/06/how-i-learned-chinese-part-1) is really inspiring.

shouldn´t be better to say "下次我一定去" instead of "下次一定来" ?

It is a good idea to record different accents, i always have problems to understand when people from the south of China say "10", because they don´t say shi2, but they say ci2, so many times i think it´s 4 instead of 10.

在飞机上,靠过道的位子不是靠走廊的位子。
