But the le you see in this dialogue is part of another pattern: 我要搬家了。 (Wǒ yào bānjiā le.) This is a sentence pattern using le that expresses that an action that is about to or going to happen: 要……了 (yào...le) here's another example using this pattern: 要下雨了。 (Yào xiàyǔ le.) It's going to rain.

July 8, 2007 at 12:48 AMhi guys and ingmar, yes, sorry. actually, when writing that intro, i kind of debated over that line, cause i knew it was grammatically not really correct, however, i couldn't resist leaving it so it would have a sort of chatty tone to it, by using the wrong English... it sounded too formal the other way. But, will keep that in mind for next time...! Correct is probably better than funny or casual ;) thanks for keeping me in line, hehe.
