April 25, 2008 at 9:28 AMhi andrewm, You could say: 最近我工作很努力。 Zuìjìn wǒ gōngzuò hěn nǔlì. It has a more complimentary tone, yes. You wouldn't use 辛勤 (xīnqín) in this case.

April 25, 2008 at 6:20 AMhi weibwo and billybobjoebobwilly, 厕所 (cèsuǒ) and 洗手间 (xǐshǒujiān) both refer to 'restroom' or 'washroom'. 洗手间 (xǐshǒujiān) sounds a little nicer. 洗澡间 (xǐzǎojiān) is very seldom used.
