That is a very good question.
V+完 simply means to finish or to complete an action.
V+好 means to accomplish this action and also implies the action itself is a requirement.
Let's take a look at this sentence.
吃完饭再看电视. Watch the tv after finishing your food.
吃好饭再看电视. This is an incorrect sentence since finishing food is not required to watch tv.
