December 30, 2009 at 7:02 AMnormally you can not be split to 回 + 地方 + 到 (huí + dìfang + dào)
For example:
我回到了家。wǒhuídǎolejiā.
我回到了故乡。wo3hui2dao4legu4xiang1.
it is different with 回去 and 回来。 回到is more of " return to some place".
In this sentence, i use 回到 not 回去 is because I have not bk to China in 10 years, it is a long time. I hope that helps?
Maybe Connie and Jiao jie can explain more as I am not very Professional in Chinese.:P
