I agree here as well. Every time I have a thought, it's invariably with "jue de". That's it for me, although I understand other ways of saying those things when they are used.

I like the audio only, personally. It takes plenty long enough for everything to load on my computer as is.

I would love to hear a lesson on how to politely ask people (of all ages, statuses) to be quiet?  I practice everything from newbie through intermediate, and have never heard this.  I know nao4 is not exactly nice terminology.

I would also love a QW on how to criticize in a nice way.  It seems all I do is negate now--so and so is not brilliant, is not wonderful, etc.  I'm not sure of the subtleties of criticism in chinese.

thanks for the "zhe" vs. "zai" insight in this lesson, John. that has confused me.

I know not all words can be rationally deconstructed, but I'm interested in the use of shuang1 in 霜.

I've only seen it used as "frost".  Any thoughts on why that's used here?  A light covering of fangshaishuang being similar to a light covering of frost on a branch?

我对上海没有感情

I've never seen "dui4" used like this before.  Is this a super context-dependent usage for this one particular construction?  Or do I just need to read more?

I'm more accustomed to seeing "dui4" being used for "pairs" of things or for affirmation (e.g. a rapid "dui-dui-dui")

哈-耗用的单词-我也是 :-)

Changye--谢谢! "假乳房" was my first thought as well, but I wanted to make sure (as bababardwan mentioned) that there wasn't a colloquial term that supplants the more dictionary correct jia ru fang here.

at any rate, I think that is what Jon muttered under his breath in response to Liliana so thanks all!

how does one say "fake boobs"?  I missed it, and Liliana had the wonderful insight to ask that question.  :-)
