thanks for the link to the tone changes lesson...

I remember having a difficult time when started off (I mean really only just started) and the Chinese teaching me Chinese would always say I have to pronounce the 你 properly with the 3rd tone. Then he made me say the 你好 very slowly with two 3rd tones. I was always really confused because it sounded so wrong. It was only a while later that my wife told that the third tone in the 你 in that case becomes a second tone because there are two consecutive 3rd tones.

Appearently there are still a whole bunch of other rules about when the tones change (which also the Chinese learn during their Chinese classes). Any chance we'll be getting a lesson on that? (or is there one but it just wasn't linked yet in the "tone" category?)

Have a nice weekend!

I haven't taken the test myself, but when I researched a little bit online I found out that one can take the test in English and that there are some questions that one normally doesn't get asked in other countries.

What should a driver do when he needs to spit while driving?

A. Spit through the window.

B. Spit into a piece of waste paper, then put it into a garbage can.

C. Spit on the floor of the vehicle.

Drivers should:

A. Deliberately underestimate each other.

B. Compete for road supremacy.

C. Learn and help each other, adopt one's strong point while overcoming one's weak point and keep safely driving.
