June 8, 2011 at 9:46 AMThanks for the reply. That confirms what I thought. When I tried to use different ones, it wouldn't work, when tried the same password, it seemed to work, then I hopelessly mixed up all my passwords . . .

(my husband remembered right away though - has every line memorized - in the degrees of fandom he is King) I only chose it in order to link with my avatar which probably isn't too obvious as it has Neil Innes in it instead of John Cleese. And my local bicycle repairmen is a very important person in my life here in China - so it seemed appropriate.
I am already set up for internet banking so it should be OK. I was half way through setting up alipay but had to abandon due to time restrictions. Got a little confused between Alipay Sign in password and Alipay payment password. Because with Taobao you also have to have a username, password, and email. I end up with one email 帐户名 for Taobao, one Taobao 登记密码 and another Alipay 登记密码 and than another Alipay 支付密码. Such a lot of passwords (and I never even got to linking my bank account with attendant paswords). Does that sound right? I was wondering if the Alipay 登记密码 is the same as the Taobao 登记密码.

June 2, 2011 at 2:25 PMYeah, I am sort of half way there, but had to abandon half way through as was pressed for time. I was doing it through the TaoBao page though. i understood I was supposed to buy credit at the post office instead of linking to my bank account. But if all I have to do is link my bank account that is easier. (re: bicycle repairman - not a monty python fan?)

June 22, 2011 at 11:44 PMI always charge my phone by buying a re-charge card at the kiosks. Can I ask the guys at the kiosks/stores to sell me a pre-pay card that has data services or do i have to re-charge first and then change through 10068. (Is 10068 an automated thing or do I have to talk to a real person)?
