July 6, 2010 at 3:29 PMGenerally, it's more expensive, but this is less and less true. Here in the Palo Alto area we have weekly farmers' markets for locally grown organic produce, and fish caught off of the nearby coastline. This is usually quite reasonably priced, and one can bargain a little.
We exclusively eat organically grown, local produce and never eat farm raised fish.
