January 17, 2009 at 4:54 AMHa ha, I thought it was a play on:
"in the name of the father"
Must have been the Catholic upbringing...I like to blame everything on that ;)

January 13, 2009 at 11:12 AMJohn's Pinyin Chart is really useful (it's also great that you can download it)... here's another one that I really like to use....it has some detailed info. like you're talking about Light, but what I love is that you also get:
- an animated sketch with the audio pronunciation
- a step-by-step description showing what the mouth, lips, tongue, etc. should be doing
- a video of a Chinese person's mouth producing the sound
I know it'd be a lot of work, but it'd be great if Cpod incorporated something similar in the future.

January 10, 2009 at 9:03 AMMiss Amber,
Thank you for all that you have given us...QW, DA, all your great answers and help, and just being such a positive and happy part of our ChinesePod experience. You will be missed so much.
Lucky for us, if we're missing you too much, we can always press play on the iPod and listen to your sweet voice.
Best of luck in designing your new future! We all know it will be a bright one.
Take Care,
Brent
P.S. So I guess this means that you can finally marry Clay ;-)

January 9, 2009 at 5:11 AMPete & henrysmommy, you can currently get the PDF, dialogue tab, and expansion tab in traditional characters by using the Firefox plug-in (no support for the vocab. tab though).
I'm not sure if the download link is somewhere on the website, but it should be if it isn't.
Pete, are you saying that there will soon be full traditional support on the website? That would be awesome.

January 8, 2009 at 12:30 PMcalicartel, you actually can download all of the expansion sentences by using andrew_c's WeLoveChinesePod software here. And it's a very useful program for many other reasons too.

January 18, 2009 at 3:12 AMchistudent and wchan, just ignore licha's comments. It seems the only time he "contributes" to the community is to complain about poddies who don't supplement their 汉字 with pinyin.
If you don't want to take the time to learn how to read 汉字 that's great, but don't punish others who don't want to take the time (for your benefit only) to include pinyin.
If you must know what they are writing about, then use a translator. Otherwise, just ignore their Chinese and do your learning only from posts that include pinyin.
