May 5, 2008 at 2:02 AMHere's my fatty 猫 māo...
Every time I have a photo shoot, she likes to plop her fat arse onto the backdrop!
(sorry, not really Mandarin specific, but couldn't resist).

May 5, 2008 at 1:40 AMThis audio dialogue was slightly creepy. Meow (loved it)! I'm wondering about the use of 里 lǐ in this dialogue. Why is it neutral tone and not 3rd tone?

May 4, 2008 at 6:41 PMalwingate, I've tried Coke Zero, thinking the same thing, that it'd be similar to Diet Coke. Unfortunately, I found it to be closer to regular, but actually worse. I like Diet Coke because it's not as sweet as regular Coke....and because I'm watching my girlie figure ;)

May 3, 2008 at 4:20 PMCuz it tastes yummy! Actually, I prefer the taste of DC over regular, which I find too sweet.

May 3, 2008 at 4:43 AMCan you get Diet Coke in Taiwan? I didn't see it anywhere in Taipei or the surrounding cities. It will be hard to live without my daily DC (but probably much healthier).

May 2, 2008 at 4:29 PMEven though I'm nowhere near intermediate level, I thought I'd try one out. Wow, very humbling! Back to the ele's. It was nice learning more about 新加坡, and also really nice to hear Jenny speak Chinese only. More motivation!

May 5, 2008 at 2:42 AMChangye, LOL...she's even been on a "weight-control" diet for 12 years. But I feed her as much as she wants! Clay, I did love Connie's meow...of course, her voice is always so soothing. Amber, as always, thanks! RJ, ditto...this is one of the reasons I love cats. They are very independent AND you never have to take them outside to use the facilities (especially living in Chicago's arctic winters). Okay, back to the lesson....
