郑和这个历史人物已经成为了中国海洋霸权扩张的一个象征。现在“郑和七下西洋”的故事好像在中国(爱国)历史教育中占据比以往更重要的地位。据说有不少中国人希望中国第一艘航母取名为“三宝太监郑和”。但是,解放军郑和航母舰队会像六百年前的郑和船队那样在国外受热烈欢迎吗?我有点为中国担心。

Hi lujiaojie

I have a question. Does "这下" work in a similar way to "这回"? Is the "下" a measure word, just like the 回?

Hi joeborn

Your "我喜欢浅一点儿的咖啡色的" might be appropriate when you answer a question such as "你喜欢什么颜色的东西?". I would just say "我喜欢浅咖啡色的(东西)".

我喜欢浅一点儿的咖啡色东西(things)。
我喜欢浅一点儿的咖啡色衣服(clothes)。

Hi bodawei

Tests here are still not done on the open road.

I guess this is because they just don't want to increase traffic fatality toll in China, hehe.

Hi joeborn

这个菜有点儿
这个菜一点儿
This dish is a little spicy.

In this case, "有点儿" is placed before an adjective, and "一点儿" is after an adjective. Please be noted that using "有点儿" often implies that you're not satisfied with something. On the other hand, "一点儿" is basically neutral. For example,

今天有点儿冷。
It's a little too cold today.

这条裤子有点儿小。
These pants are a little too small for me.

Hi tal

Your analogy might be more appropriate. Honestly, I half expected someone to point that out. I'm still wondering about whether "lower classes" are counted as "audience" in the "theater (state)" or not.

Hi bodawei

Oops, sorry, I made a mistake in culculation. Here is the corrected one.

Fatalities per license holders (100,000) are ....

PRC  38.9
Japan  5.5
6.4

What a great "theater state" the PRC is! There are good actors/actresses, capable and experienced directors, and, more importantly, rich and loyal audience, who sit in box seats, in the red painted gorgeous theater. How envious! Just a moment, I've just noticed that there are great number of people in a dim corner of the theater, who can only afford to get standing tickets.

Hi miantiao

你不用担心。他个子本来就矮,身高只有一米六,而且那个人现在在美国生活。听说在美国门框尺寸很大,所以我想他不停地长高下去也不会发生太大的问题。失恋几次都没问题的!
