May 11, 2008 at 1:21 AMHey auntie, just read your comment now. Like your point about Chinese guys living with their folks. I guess it does play a big factor.

May 10, 2008 at 4:12 AMAmber, you mentioned DVDs don't work with western players, that's almost always the case. So it's prudent if you buy one of those "fake" dvd players that are also sold. They're not only cheap but they play any region, so good buy! I liked going to Dongtai Lu when I was in Shanghai, lots of "old" stuff there. There were even Tintin the Reporter comics in Chinese! Lots of propaganda stuff there as well! Of course, their authenticity is something that can be debated. Hahaha

May 8, 2008 at 2:27 PMClay, thanks for the pictures. Yummy. And great idea for the series, we all love our chinese food! Don't forget to include exotic (at least for non-Chinese) food, like snakes, turtles... :)

May 7, 2008 at 6:02 AMThanks for clearing up the 公牛 issue, for the longest time I thought the Chicago Bulls was translated to Chinese as "public cows". Now it makes more sense. haha

May 6, 2008 at 6:28 AMJenny, Mouse in the shoe? We can do like a Chinese-English Dr. Suess then: 老鼠再shoe里。 It rhymes a bit.
