January 26, 2010 at 7:45 PMWhat I love about Chinese and the Chinese culture is that it is simple and yet complicated... Does it make you all "simply complicated"? Maybe it's because 我是白羊座。

January 19, 2010 at 3:37 PMLoved your comment about slurring our words together in english. There are Americans with accents I can barely understand!

January 16, 2010 at 11:54 PMWhy would accupuncture not be popular in China? I would think it is a cultural part of Chinese medicine.

January 12, 2010 at 2:50 AMIn our small city in Florida I have not heard about any 中药泡脚。 针灸(accupuncture)is becoming increasingly more popular. Massage Therapy is popular, and some of them do Reflexology on the feet and hands, which I'm sure stemmed from zhongyao paojiao. I found some books from the 1950's on reflexology on the feet, one of which teaches you how to give yourself the theraputic massage. It definately feels better having someone else do it.

December 22, 2009 at 2:04 PMAlthough this lesson is above my level, it is of great interest to me as I had a lot of accupuncture ,and with that, exposed to chinese medicine. Through this experience I got this fascination of wanting to learn Chinese. I love learning all about chinese culture!

September 15, 2009 at 2:46 PMThanks, John, for adding where the other two classes on tones were. I felt kind of dumb that I must have been "absent" from "class" on those days!

June 6, 2009 at 7:04 PMI thought it was a great lesson. I agree that everyone has different learning styles. For me repetition is the law of memory, so I enjoy every lesson. Of course, Mike, I am not on your level, so maybe I would have been a little grumpy expecting more. I also cannot invest as much time with Cpod as I would like, so I appreciate anything that helps drill it into my mind.Sometimes I only get a chance to listen to the podcast, and it is harder to retain since I am a visual learner. John, I think it's all good!

July 30, 2010 at 4:44 AMI would be interested to know the names of some chinese green leafy vegatables that I have no idea what they are- some are sort of like collard greens, but there are several I have seen here in Florida that are sold in the Chinese groceries, that don't resemble anything I have ever seen. I have only been told they are very healthy and some are kind of medicinal.
