I generally prefer to drink "warm drinks" except for really hot summer day. I was told that in Beijing vending machines have, aside from hot coffee and hot milk tea, selections such as " hot orange", "hot sweet milk"...

I read some email about the benefits of drinking hot drinks after meals... I'm posting some from the email..

" For those who like to drink cold water. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink a fter a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal."

Thanks for putting up the chinesepod olympic site :)

I always see 爽起來 on some Beijing Olympic ads and posters. What does actually mean?
