July 25, 2012 at 2:47 AMIn the Philippines villages, there is a widespread of folk religion, whereby superstitious practices took on the appearance of a recognized religion. As a teenager, my best friend (her mother was very superstitious) and I were fascinated by fortune telling, faith healing and a game called "Spirit of the Glass". The last time I went back for a visit, they told me they do not do this anymore for this shows a lack of faith in God. As for me, I lost interest in them a long time ago.
