January 19, 2008 at 10:22 PMsebire - I saw that video a while back and I thought it was brilliant then. It's doubly so now! Haha! Great stuff! Thanks for posting it!

January 17, 2008 at 4:14 AMYeah. I thought so. Kind of hard to beat, "I'm hungry TO DEATH." LOL

January 16, 2008 at 5:03 PMAck! That last sentence should be 我饿得不得了。

January 16, 2008 at 5:01 PMI'm sorry, but I loved this episode. This is a fantastic phrase. I'm going to start tacking it onto everything. Between that and the +死了 construction, I'll be Captain Dramatic! Ambtastic, which is MORE dramatic, 不得了 or 死了? If I was hungry... REALLY hungry... which would win in a steel cage Thunderdome deathmatch?! 我饿死了 or 我饿的不得了?

January 14, 2008 at 7:59 PMFinally got around to listening to this episode and I loved it. It's little sentence constructions like this that make certain things fall into place in your head and your spoken Mandarin sound more natural. Great job, as always.

January 14, 2008 at 3:46 PMBazza, your new icon is intense! It needs a caption, I think: "I can see everything you type... and you should be ashamed of yourself." Don't judge me, my British friend! :-P

January 4, 2008 at 8:15 PMCasie, I love 火锅! I had it with some of the folks from ChinesePod the last time I was in Shanghai. It's a lot of fun! Too bad it's so unlikely to catch on here in the States. :-)

December 15, 2007 at 2:50 AMThis is fantastic. Lots of useful stuff in there. New nouns, measure words, plus a few already-familiar sentence patterns and colors. A little new with the old. Awesome.

January 20, 2008 at 3:16 AMnicolas -- Actually, I'd love to see that as a lesson! That would be a great Elementary/Intermediate lesson. "I can't find my keys!" "Did you check the kitchen?" "Yes, but they're not there. I thought I left them in the living room..." etc., etc., etc.
