December 6, 2010 at 12:51 PM我对干天气没有意思和不管面霜等等，在南方有好多蚊子所以很爱驱蚊露！I could care less about the dry weather and facial cream and such, down south we've got a lot of mosquitoes and I just love my mosquito repellent! (but it is nice to learn about this kind of vocab though, still love thinking about the 防晒霜lesson too!)
我想起来上级课程1475：南北差导：不过人们常说女人是水做的，南方湿润的气候对女性的皮肤倒是比较好。

December 3, 2010 at 11:57 PMWhen I lived in America just a few months ago I would bike many miles a day just for some good exercise, but like you said, the big cities in China the drivers of motor bikes and cars, trucks are so crazy, it seems too dangerous to even walk on the sidewalk! So, I am afraid to use my American habits on the bike to get around in the city. the option of an electric bike is also out for me, as the school dorm I stay in does not have the recharging capabilities.

December 3, 2010 at 10:06 PMYeah, it was strange to understand the Chinese better in this case than the English. I've never seen this word 'buff' used this way, to describe bulk, but only associated it with being naked. LOL, sometimes I get to study English while studying Chinese.

December 3, 2010 at 1:05 AMI live in the south...where everyone kinda butchers putonghua in their own special way, just like they butcher English (zhi becomes zi, shi becomes si, among many other varieties). I butcher Chinese too, so I kinda think I even the score here. I do like how Chinese Pod provides a variety of speakers with their different quirks and tones, sorta like real life. I guess if one craves good and pure mandarin, he or she should watch the nightly news.
Hey management...when are we going to get the series on Cantonese?
