December 14, 2010 at 11:32 AMFood costs are rising because the US Federal Reserve is printing money to fund Congressional programs and also the trillions required to bailout the big banks and brokerage firms, who lost so much in RE investments and also contribute to so much of the congressional members campaign funds. Sucks to hold dollars, yankee dollars that is. Oh, wait...who is pegged to the dollar? Well, China of course. In a few months, or year or so, America is going to become very unpopular...as, they are stealing from everyone by printing, or as the egg heads/thieves at the Fed refer to it, 'Quantitative Easing'. Let's not also forget China's massive expansion into developing their own country. Problem with China is they kept on producing goods for countries like America who have run out of real money a long time ago. This is not good, as the saying goes, if you owe the bank a few hundred million, the bank owns you, owe the bank a couple hundred of billion, and you own the bank. Well, China has a lot of T-Bills, as most of the countries of the world do, so ...guess who owns China right now....?

December 8, 2010 at 3:59 AMI think many so-called 'reformed Jews' are not religious, you're right, Judaism is more of a culture and society for them, however, most Orthodox Jews are religious and would consider Judaism a religion. Just my observations, I'm not an expert either.

December 27, 2010 at 1:34 PMIt's very frustrating sometimes to learn a foreign language...LOL, the temptation is to take out one's frustrations out on someone else's inadequacies in stead of concentrating totally on learning to speak fluent Chinese. So, I can understand one wanting to correct someone else with their English, but in the end, it is just one more distraction away from learning how to master Chinese. I admire the Chinese to the extent that no matter what I seem to say to them sometimes, the answer is always in English. I want that focus and drive with my learning Chinese too.
