I neglected to Google 谷歌拼音输入法 before I asked. I see that it's for Windows only. I've been using a Mac more often lately and the pinyin input on OS X is very good and it doesn't need access to the internet, however I think Google's dictionary is better - it has more entries that are colloquial and relevant to everyday use because I use Google Translate to take "guesses" for pinyin and it finds words that mdbg, Nciku and Pleco does not.
