I support this, mostly because I love love love the word montage. Anybody want to know how to say that in Mandarin? Of course you do: 蒙太奇 meng2tai4qi2. I have a new favorite word. As in:

哇,这个你得照片蒙太奇这么厉害!

wa, zhe4ge ni3de zhao4pian4 meng2tai4qi2 zhe4me li4hai!

Wow, this your photo montage is awesome!

Doesn't look like my pox is working. Sigh.

haha! I'm not attractively white. I'm freakishly white. Luminescent, even. But you're right...it's mostly for myself! :)

And I have been an expat living in countries and cultures that prize pale skin for almost my entire adult life. I'm not likely to switch sides on this issue anytime soon!

That's right! I'd forgotten that saying! Used to hear it down south all the time.

Haha, there might not even be a Chinese word for that! I'm so stinking pale, I actually confess to using fake tanning products from time to time during the summer months (as has been mentioned above, we don't get much actual sunlight in China) but I have to have them sent from home. I am convinced they do not exist here!

He retired in glory and is just waiting to be voted into Cooperstown. Wikipedia says this:

A beloved figure in Seattle, he is now living in Bellevue, Washington, with his wife Holli and their three children: Alex, Tessa, and Jacqueline. He now runs Branded Solutions by Edgar Martínez, a byproduct of his family's embroidery business, in Kirkland, Washington.

Oh, baba, I would love to tell you all about it. It was October 8, 1995 and my beloved Ken Griffey, Jr. had just scored the winning run on an 11th inning double by my even more beloved Edgar Martinez to beat the New York Yankees (whom I hate with the fire of ten thousand suns) to win the American League Division Series.

Baseball in Seattle's single finest moment.

Regarding the forgot/left debate, Connie's explanation regarding 忘vs.留 precisely describes why, in many cases, I would choose to say that I forgot something somewhere, rather than that I left something somewhere.

Hey! Hey! You come watch an MLS game in Seattle and tell me soccer/football isn't popular in the USA!
