all of the lessons about hotels are great, is there a lesson about getting a wake-up call. If not that would appreciate it if you could fit one in since I am looking forward to my first trip to China next month.

actually, this one took me longer to get than it should have, for some reason I got focused on parts of the conversation that were less obvious than the repeated part about "What's in the box?" After coming to the realization of what the movie is, I had to go through my personal collection and watch it again.

This was an excellent topic for DA, thanks neverspend for the suggestion. I have always felt that if a person gets a tattoo it should be in a place that can be covered whenever there is a need, but that doesn't exactly help neverspend at this point. I have a tattoo on my arm of an oriental style dragon with 龍年 going down next to it. For work I deal with people from different countries/cultures and I can cover it by wearing a short sleeve shirt. Most of my Chinese coworkers say that they like it, but could be just being polite, and were actually surprised that I knew what the characters were. I find that most people in America that get Chinese character tattoos have no idea if the character is correct or not.

I think more lessons on hobbies like this would be great. Personally I would love to see some lessons on painting. I do oil paintings of landscapes mostly, but you could discuss different mediums and different types (abstract, wildlife, landscape, portraits, calligraphy, etc.)

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of those that celebrate it. For someone like myself (with very little Irish blood), it just gives me a good excuse to drink green beer and take the next day off work. Fortunately, for me, I am working nights for the next couple weeks (11PM to 7AM).

I have to agree, the music does give this away, that and the line about putting money into the peanut. I haven't seen this movie for about 15 years, so I went home and watched it over the weekend..

Very nice to hear from Alice and Josh on their experiences visiting China. I would have to agree with calkins, Josh seems like a very nice and sweet young man, and his appearance on this edition of DA was refreshing.

good lesson. It's definitely one of the things I have been planning to pick up when I get over to SH (hopefully sometime this month).
