Posted on: Changes on ChinesePod
September 2, 2008 at 12:17 AMThis is Chinese Pod, lessons on the go. I would like more of the content downloadable in an audio format so that I can repeat the words and sentences with their English translations in the car, on a plane or at work. As it is, I love your product but only use it when I am sitting at the computer, not when I need to practice on the road.
I fly back to Shanghai in two weeks and would love to download a variety of key phrases for the trip. All along, this step could be anticipated. I wish you every success with it. This is a good value and a happy place to learn Chinese whether you make any more positive changes or not. Bravo!

August 30, 2008 at 4:51 AMHappy Birthday, Amber.
I had to go to a hospital in Beijing. They first took me to a local clinic. We woke up the doctor and nurse ( it was around midnight) and my injuries were beyond them. You have to remember to bring cash and settle up before you leave.
Then, I was taken to another place about 30 minutes away with an American doctor. There, help was pretty much like what we would get in the states, maybe better.
So, I felt well cared for in Beijing.

August 29, 2008 at 4:17 AMAs you say, everything in China revolves around food. This is a good lesson. I would like to see lessons around Breakfast, lunch and dinner so that I will have more to say with my friends. Thanks.

August 25, 2008 at 4:29 AMVery useful lesson and expansion exercises. But I have to admit, the 老板 creeps me out!

August 21, 2008 at 5:43 AMI learned these terms early on but never heard anyone casually use them. This lesson taught me to speak a little faster. Thanks, I will remember all of this one!

August 19, 2008 at 4:24 AMI liked the vocab and subject of this lesson. I only visit China 4 times per year. So, I must practice in Houston and the only place appears to be in Chinese restaurants. Before Chinesepod, I was gaining 10 lbs per month. Seriously, food is always such a useful tool for us beginners to study because common verbs, words involving senses and places are all involved. You two are always charming. Thanks.

August 2, 2008 at 3:25 AMA charming visit with two interesting guests. There are so many talented musicians in China and I think that it is only a matter of time before we see some great fusion and new, original music coming out of China. You are a refreshing hostess, Amber.

September 2, 2008 at 2:07 AMGetting "gussied up in saloons!' That was really cute, Jenny. Ken was laughing because the term is salon. Saloons were bars in the wild west and you would not want to get gussied up in there! I'm glad that you left this in but, Ken, you are a scamp for not correcting her! Too funny.
