真 and 真的 can both be used as adverbs and mean the same thing, however they are used a bit differently:
真 + Adj (你真漂亮 nǐ zhēn piàoliang)
or
真的 + V (我真的饱了 Wǒ zhēnde bǎo le)
or 真的 + 很 + Adj (你真的很漂亮。Nǐ zhēnde hěn piàoliang)

真的 can be used as a question or an answer, 真 can not.
For example,
A 真的？
B 真的。
