June 14, 2011 at 2:46 AM大家玩愤怒的小鸟 开车去上班的时候我看不清楚别人的具体活动。坐地铁就不同了。为此我肯定现在智能手机是首选的玩具。差不多所有的乘客都有。有时候我看到在屏幕上有各种画面、作业、音乐、电影、电邮、短信都有，但是愤怒的小鸟是最常见到的。这让我感觉我们的生活方法又变了，而且让我感觉我落伍了，因为我没有能玩愤怒小鸟的手机，甚至我很久没玩儿电脑游戏。算了，我还是讨厌苹果公司的生意模式，而是喜欢有个性的生活模式。基本上我对玩儿这个游戏没有兴趣。这种事提示我在我的人生内我们的生活方法改变了很多。我已经工作时大哥大那种手机上市了。我上高中时我们甚至没有电算计，只要用铅笔和一张纸。有时候还觉得一些没用科技的手段是一个优势，我还会用旧的方法因为我有点保守的感觉。不过当一个做我这种专业的人我必须采纳新的科技。挑选哪些科技适合我有点难，我希望我不会后悔我对愤怒的小鸟无所谓。

June 7, 2011 at 3:41 AMIt would definitely be adult Chinese if the objective of the tadpoles were a zygote, rather than their mother. :=) I think that is why the version of the mother seeking animals story, I am familiar with, used a duck as a protagonist.

June 4, 2011 at 6:16 PMJenny, that is all well and good, but it does mean we go a week without a new advanced level transcript. I miss that very much, and these lessons seem to have all the other trappings of a regular lesson (expansion sentences, test...) they are just missing this one crucial piece. BTW, I do watch the videos they point to and listen to the lesson banter, but it is very frustrating to do any kind of focused study based on these lessons for reasons I have stated before.
Anyway, it seems like it wouldn't be that hard to provide some transcripted material along with these lessons (a blog critiquing the video, or transcribe the couple of minutes of sound excerpts that are in the lesson) and that doing so wouldn't detract from the cultural exposure objective you explained.

June 1, 2011 at 5:27 AMouxiansheng, to be clear, my request is that Chinesepod provide some transcribed material along with the video lessons, not that they transcribe the entire video. I think that wouldn't be a lot more effort than Connie's effort to answer your questions, but I might be wrong.
I have only complained because I am a great fan of CPod, but I feel that they are not meeting my study needs with the current structure of the video lessons. If they don't have the resources to satisfy me, or what I ask doesn't fit their business model, I can understand. However, I offered my sincere opinion in the hope that it is useful. I hope that it has merit on the basis that I have several years of experience using Chinesepod as my principal source of Chinese study material, and I have achieved whatever success I have achieved in Chinese largely with their help.
