August 1, 2017 at 11:25 PMI truly love graded readers also! There are many different types out there.
From http://sarajaaksola.com/how-to-pass-the-hsk-test/ ...
For HSK level 1-3, read Chinese Breeze books
For HSK 4 leve, read Graded Chinese Reader 3
For HSK 5 level, read Graded Chinese Reader 1 and Graded Chinese Reader 2
For HSK 6 level, read Graded Chinese Reader 2 for review and then start reading books written for native speakers

July 14, 2017 at 1:20 AMI love this lesson to pieces. My father and all his friends were all doctoral students at UC Berkeley when I was growing up. My mother would get together with all the wives and gossip about how stupid their husbands were sometimes. They would go to work with mismatched shoes, speak something to them and then forget what they were saying, do something... then immediately run over to work on their papers. There were endless stories. It was so so funny to all the wives. "I love them but... sometimes I have no idea how they survived without us until now!"
Super cute.

July 7, 2017 at 11:17 PMI truly love this lesson. There was so much extensive vocabulary that one would not normally hear in daily conversation. The lesson featured a highly intelligent and cultural conversation regarding surrogacy, womens rights, and law. Thank you so incredibly much for this lesson. I truly enjoyed it and it truly challenged my Mandarin Chinese, even as a native speaker. I am planning on listening to this lesson a few times. Thanks all!!

April 28, 2017 at 3:47 AMFried tomatoes and eggs is probably my favorite dish of all time... and I am a vegetarian! This lesson was super interesting to me.. and I'm an advanced learner. I like how Fiona and Gwylim both incorporate so much culture, knowledge, and life skills into their talks. They make every lesson very entertaining to listen to. I feel part of the Chinesepod family, that's for sure. Thanks! Keep up the good work, Chinesepod Team!
