January 15, 2015 at 8:45 PMThey say 'tai can be used as a measure word for most machinery'. That pretty much covers it. Surely you don't expect them to explain the whole concept of a measure word in every Newbie lesson?
"but I can't be bothered to write them all out" ... Translation: "I couldn't find any more"

January 14, 2015 at 11:10 PMAfter listening to the podcast, I have no idea what you are talking about.
Every part of every sentence was explained thoroughly, even painfully so (that's not a complaint).

January 9, 2015 at 12:32 PMI have a question about the podcast.
We were told that the only one of the three words than can come straight after the verb is 向.
Yet one of the sample sentences is .
一群大雁飞往南方。
Have I misunderstood what was said?

January 9, 2015 at 4:36 AMI don't think there is anything negative about it in China. But for people with a Chinese background who live outside China, are not Chinese nationals, and speak English, it isn't too polite.
Comparing Chinaman and Englishman is not a direct parallel.
It would be Chinaman vs England man, or Chinese man vs Englishman.

January 9, 2015 at 4:26 AMSorry, I hadn't listened to the podcast. Thanks for the explanation. Is it possible to have translations in future that don't rely on people being nerds, or having some kind of special interest? (Except that if the podcast had actually been about gaming then I suppose that would have been OK).

January 19, 2015 at 5:53 AMThey sounded exactly the same to me. She never said 'shi'. I think you are letting your eyes fool your ears. Try listening without the video. Also not sure where this neutral tone was meant to be. There is certainly nothing here that needs re-recording.
