February 24, 2009 at 6:09 AMYes, I agree with your pun (it's the name of the guy), though a guppy is able to rest on the side when the water flows the wrong way (which might take a long time), and dart in and out of eddies as they develop. Sharks are not so versatile.

February 18, 2009 at 5:38 AMWe had a fetal ultrasound in China, and found out that if the ultrasound technician tells you the sex of the child (and is caught doing so), then they will lose their job and also be fined 5000 RMB.
Regarding the height of the uterus, it is used in Australia as a way of checking the dates and assessing the health of the pregnancy. A rough guide is that at 20 weeks, for example, the top of the uterus should be felt at the level of the belly-button.
Lastly, where we are in Shanxi, western men are allowed into the birthing suite at the big public hospital, but only with written approval from the head of the hospital.
