July 2, 2008 at 1:11 PM我不想去莫斯科旅游。After having a russian roommate for 2 years, I have had far too much Vodka and pickles (some bad memories there) and am not terribly fond of certain Russians' procivity to singing drunkenly far into the not so early morning.

June 30, 2008 at 11:32 AMpulosm,
I have never liked going to doctors, but here's some things to consider. Doctoring is a very unpredictable job. Emergencies come in, patients have much more time consuming issues than expected, etc... All these things push a doctor's schedule out and make everybody wait. Your best bet is to go early in the morning. Also, what in the world are you going to the doctor for if all you have is a cold? Don't you realize that there are no medicines for curing colds and all you can do is take care of the symptoms? And those medicines you can buy over-the-counter with no wait at all! (At least here in the States)

June 27, 2008 at 12:09 PMI somehow feel that having bought a house that was built in the 30s and has very little counterspace and storage space, plus having some cooking lessons from my Chinese mother-in-law may give me a heads-up on surviving the Chinese Kitchen. Of course, I have no idea how to eliminate a microwave from the required equipment. How do you reheat food? Over the monster flame?
Also I would be very sad not to have an oven. The cookie idea was great, you have any ideas on cooking apple pie or pizza on the big flame?
