This is a good lesson. I would definitely welcome more content relating to social media and its respective terms. It's not as easy to look up the GUI interfaced terms since we can't copy and paste, and on smartphones the text is pretty small to boot.

The dialogue is voiced by the same voice actors who do most of the lessons. It's an unfair criticism. To be fair, Gwilym accent is good. He has a good ear on tones and usually makes the correct mouth movements on the sounds. He's also only done like two lessons where he was part of the dialogue, which I think listeners found interesting according to the comments (he played the role of 外國人 so it made sense) Maybe you are mistaking the male voice actor's accent as a little strange, since it's stronger than Taiwan ones. However, it's great to hear many accents. God knows China has like 1 million different native accents.

Late reply but I am certain 打工 is used to mean part time work, as I have heard many friends use that term.

A 2011 study found that 7% of language is verbal, the other 93% is body language and tone of voice. I recall a similar percentage in a business communication course I took in university.

They are simulating many kinds of situations, which is a big reason I prefer Chinesepod over other courses. Have you even paid attention to the way people speak naturally? There is a plethora of "over-acting" used constantly, all the time.

Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur are up your alley if you prefer dreadful, monotone conversation samples.

You are right, the brewery is named after Qilin. But if you ever need to say "giraffe" in Japanese, now you can!
