I was going to see the 2012 last Sunday here in 大连 (Dalian). This kind of movie isn't my "cup of tea" but thanks to the big screen and sound effects I quite enjoyed it.

Thanks to Chinesepod staff for explaining how the seat order in China with 双号 and 单号 works. I was a little worried about if I could sit next to my boyfriend as we had both even (or odd? don't remember anymore) numbers. In the end it turned out that we could so everything was ok. However, I felt a bit perplexed by the system.

By the way, in my country which is 捷克 (Czech Republic) we also officially have a system of assigned seats but actually not many people respect this rule. I think that to respect this gives a sense when the movie theatre is full of people but if there are just few of them, you should be free to sit wherever you want. And it's somewhat irritating when someone comes to insist that the seat where one sits is "his seat". But of course, the person has his right to do it. 笑

Regarding seat order in my country, we have both the rows and seats numbered from 1 above. So no distinction is made between even and odd numbers. That's why I was so perplexed the other day..

I was eating this in Dalian and liked it. Had just the moral problem that it's living that's why my boyfriend had to take the shrimp out and make it into a more ”eatable” form for me. A little hypocrisy from my side? 笑

Anyway, I love to eat Japanese sashimi and sushi and not only from fish. The horse sashimi (basashi) is sooooo delicious!

Great lesson. However, I'm afraid I can't understand the sentence 自己骗自己 which is translated as "Deceive yourself", especially why 自己 is used twice. Also can't understand why someone would say to anyone to deceive himself..

My question is perhaps confusing and originates from the lack of my English knowledge, I'm sorry. 笑

Anyway, if I want to say "Don't deceive yourself!", could the translation be 不要骗自己?
