大部分的時候我還覺得划不來..... according to an American Journal of Clinical Nutrition study, there is no difference in most nutrients between organically or conventionally grown crops, including in vitamin C, calcium, and iron.

July 6, 2010 at 6:48 AM在臺灣有機產品非常受歡迎. 我覺得有一點貴, 但是比上海沒有那麼貴. 一棵菜一塊美金.

speaking of Lasik, how would we say Laser Teeth Whitening? How about normal teeth whitening (with the tray and peroxide)?
在中國"Laser Teeth Whitening" 好貴啊?受歡迎嗎?

May 27, 2010 at 4:12 AMJohn,
Thanks for this clarification between 登记 (dēngjì) and 登录 (dēnglù).
不好意思..... is it better to say China (中國) instead of Mainland China (中國大陸) for the sake of many of our more Taiwan sensitive/sympathetic poddies? or is this too political to debate here? some of my Taiwan friends really, really don't like the expression 中國大陸 when referring to China. It makes sense for someone in Hawaii or Alaska to called the contiguous United States the American mainland(美國大陸), but in the case of Taiwan.........
maybe there is a podcast on this issue? although my search for Taiwan only came up with two Qing Wen episodes:
* Qing Wen - Mainland & Taiwan Lingo: Transportation
* Qing Wen - Mainland & Taiwan Lingo: Electronics
謝謝!

May 26, 2010 at 3:11 PM請問:
如果我要跟一個朋友一起去打毽子, 也可以說: "去踢球嗎?" 或是需要說: "去踢毽子嗎?"
how about other sports like american kickball or aussie rules football?
also, can I use 登記 interchangably with 註冊 here in the context of registering for a twitter account?
謝謝!

July 30, 2010 at 5:58 AMhow can i correctly tell my Taiwanese friends that I am at the exit #4 at the top of the escalator(the street level), verses exit #4 down in the station near the bottom of escalator?
this gets confusing sometimes, but if it's really hot out I prefer to stay down in the station and don't want people searching for me at the street level, and vise-versa if the weather is nice.
