April 1, 2010 at 11:02 AMI think that's why this should have been an intermediate or upper intermediate lesson. Then we could bring in shaving cream, gel, razor (electric or 5-blade chin slicer), baby smooth skin, and other new shaving vocabulary all at once.

March 31, 2010 at 11:00 AMInteresting lesson. Next time there's a need for a tech company to be mentioned in a lesson, It would be helpful to have other companies mentioned other than Microsoft. Maybe like IBM or HP or someone, since Cpod has already taught us how to say Microsoft, but hasn't taught us other tech companies in Chinese. Thanks.

March 29, 2010 at 2:05 AMI had a beard for 9 months when I was leaving my old job, and starting at business school. 4 months into business school, I shaved off the beard. After the shave, a couple of women said to me, "you look 10 years younger!" They weren't even Chinese.

March 26, 2010 at 3:42 AMI guess I was asking for Chinese culture specific things. I know what would have made sense in an American household, but I not assuming that what works in the US works in China. Cognac works in the US if the parents drink, but not if they they do not. Not sure what about the poor mom if she doesn't drink, but he does.

March 24, 2010 at 10:42 AMThis lesson really needs to have the word "mannerism" somewhere in it. Too bad we can search on mannerisms as well; there seem to be enough lessons around that.

April 2, 2010 at 1:31 AMInteresting dialogue that we haven't had before, so this is good.
Just curious, do people play Twister in China? I don't even see commercials for board games on TV, and I haven't seen the game sold in a number of department stores.
