November 12, 2015 at 1:28 PMYou described the 那个 as nàge or "nà yi ge" actually the character: 那 can be 'nà' or 'nèi' depending on what part of the country or what word grouping they are used in. I can't believe I'm teaching you this.
There are a more of these like:
这 can be 'zhè' or 'zhèi'
See http://www.yellowbridge.com/chinese/dictionary.php where it says: " (commonly pr. [zhei4] before a classifier, esp. in Beijing)

August 8, 2015 at 12:01 PMto comment myself... watching a taiwanese drama. Zenmeyang is used all over and over again. I don't see them use chibaole or chifanleme?

August 6, 2015 at 1:34 AMAbout zenmeyang: Isn't there a bit of a westernization of some speech patterns? Meaning a lot of younger chinese are now using 怎么样. Are they not? I believe I've heard it in some of the Chinese TV programs we watch. Also when young chinese take to QQ, or wechat, likely they are going to use a shortcut like this.

July 8, 2015 at 2:36 AMThis lessons covers 别的人。
Although I'm just a learner..I'm used to seeing the one word 别人 in the Chinese literature that I've been using for some time.
Is there a difference or application for 别人 in comparison to the other words?

November 16, 2015 at 1:02 AMNot 'North/South'?? In my experience, which should be less than yours.. That folks from shanghai, don't use neige, or zheixie.
Our organization actually has printed 'Pinyin' materials using the extra (i's). No not in neili. I believe because they consider the sounds 'Beijing' standard. Not sure why.
Another regional sound difference, that I found very confusing when starting out: 1..2..3yī (E) ér (R) sān (san)
yī (E) ér ( er as in butt(er) ) sān (san)
