If she's not a cheater, she's at least a kiss-up. "Here's my homework Mr. teacher, sir (bats eyelashes)." One of those people who dot their "i"s with hearts and smiley faces.

I thought he might be the culprit. I found the song on Tudou:

Agreed. I think the tana nana, tana nanana part might be doable!

To be honest John, I only know a few of his songs myself. The first thing I thought of when I listened to this lesson was the "Maestro" episode of Seinfeld.

"it's going to be on an endless loop all day now!" 哈哈 If I'd have said that, you'd have suggested I translate it. So, I beat you to the punch.

I found a Chinese cover of Mother and Child Reunion (music anyway) on YouTube by a guy named Sam Hui, which sounds pretty good. Link, for those of you with access:

Sorry guys, but I'm really disappointed! How could you do this lesson without regaling us with the Dilu, John cover of Paul Simon's hit song?

...

如果你会是我的保镖,(Rúguǒ nǐ huì shì wǒ de bǎobiāo,)
我可以是你久违的朋友, (Wǒ kěyǐ shì nǐ jiǔwéi de péngyǒu,)
我可以叫你 Betty, (Wǒ kěyǐ jiào nǐ Betty,)
和 Betty, 你叫我的时候, (Hé Betty, nǐ jiào wǒ de shíhou,)
你可以叫我 Al, (Nǐ kěyǐ jiào wǒ Al,)
叫我 Al, (Jiào wǒ Al)
...

All apologies to Mr. Simon. ;-)

Hehe, Rummaging through the C-pod community archives. Just one of the lengths I'll go to, just to avoid doing any actual work! Now, to find a "warmer looking" avatar.

Hmmm, my dictionary says that it's used for "livestock," and "garlic."

When I was a kid, I asked my neighbour, a dairy farmer, how many cows he had. He answered, "24 head."

"So, how many are in a 'head'," I asked. (What a dumb kid, I was.)

And garlic! Go figure.
