Maybe it is just Herscheys that I tried that was weirdly sour. If you try Cadbury's in the UK (proper Cadburys, not like US or Aussie stuff), you'll find that incredibly sweet. British chocolate is usually not that dark. I prefer dark. NZ chocolate is good. Dove chocolate in China was the best I tried, it looked like Galaxy.
I find the formatting erratic too!

February 21, 2009 at 10:00 AMI was surprised to try American chocolate and found it tasted like sour milk. I thought I had a dodgy bar, but apparently not. I'll stick to European chocolate!

February 17, 2009 at 11:35 AMHi Pete,
谢谢 (and 谢谢 Jiaojie), that makes a lot of sense. It's been confusing me for a while now, but no longer!

February 16, 2009 at 3:56 PMI have a question re. potential complements.
In the first line of the dialogue, the guy can't get the plug in: 插不进去. If I understand potential complements correctly, it's if you can or can't do something. Do they at all overlap the territory of 能 or 会? Sometimes if I am trying to think up a sentence when I can or can't do something, I get them all mixed up.

February 11, 2009 at 5:42 PMChangye mentioned something about 5 character old style. I have been wondering if there is a reason for 5 characters, or is it just tradition?
