As for addressing women, you can either use their title (a professional title that can be used without the surname such as 医生, 博士, 经理,老师) or , if the context is very formal, 夫人 or 女士 would be appropriate. 太太 is comparatively neutral. They all can be used with the surname as well.

Since we're discussing ways of addressing, how would I(female) call a woman that's in her twenties, yet older than me? What about a man? (The setting is rather informal.)

How about a QingWen on that topic?

Could the 这个-pattern be used for less offensive remarks as well, e.g. 你这个夜猫子。 or to -jokingly- refer to oneself?

I will attempt to put this lesson to good use the day after tomorrow.

How do I say "Which hairstyle will fit my face shape?" "Which colour do you recommend?" "I want to get a non-permanent tint." and "Please merely cut the ends a little." (How do I say that last sentence in proper English? I just plainly forgot...Surprisingly enough, Chinese is interfering with my English.) I reckon I could translate these sentences correctly, but I'd like to use more natural expression.

Thanks for your help.

Ok, relistened to the podcast, nr.3 has been answered. Sorry! Is the top bunk much cheaper?

5. 特咖啡好喝? Would the answer "好喝, 可是不良"/"...对身体不好" be correct or is there a more natural/grammatically sound way of saying "...but it's unhealthy"?

大家好!

I have a few questions concerning this lesson, I hope someone will answer them:

1. 一些应该男生。I don't quite get the structure of this sentence...and wy isn't there any passive indicator? Is there any way of restructuring this sentence and putting the 拿 into a different place?

2. How does 一点 compare to 一些 ?

3. What is a upper/lower bunk? A subcategory of   硬卧 or is it different?

4. If I can get to Beijing for 499RMB, where would the trip have to start? How much more expensive than the hard sleeper is a soft sleeper?

Thanks in advance for your answer.
