Is it more polite to get someone's age by asking,
"What is your Chinese zodiac animal?"

你属是什么?nǐ shǔ shì shénme?

我属兔。 wǒ shǔ tù.  I'm a rabbit.

So if in mid twenties, age would be 24?

Greg,

No problem. I guess that very few people know its history. It is just interesting to me because I have been there twice with Chinese friends, the second time actually going inside and climbing to the top of the statue (something like 600 steps), in a very small space. It was worth the climb, though, to experience the inside / design / views from the crown.

Greg,

Here's some of the history of the Statue of Liberty, a gift to the USA and assembled on Liberty Island in New York during 1886.

I thought 善良 shànliáng was the common term for kind-hearted, but may be mistaken.

Shouldn't you say
南京东路 (East Nanjing Road) vs.  南京西路 (West Nanjing Road) (same road, just separated into east and west sectors)?  I think east Nanjing Road is much more popular and interesting than West Nanjing Road.  My favorite is the walk from the Bund going west on 南京东路 to People's Square.  You may want to add vocabulary for People's Square, Shanghai Acrobats, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, China Pavilion to World Expo, and Century Park.

Yes, I have been scammed on multiple occasions on 南京东路; just not very bright I guess, thinking I know enough to not get scammed again.

By the way, haven't the most popular shopping and night life areas have shifted west from 南京东路, but still in 浦西区?

For the following expansion sentence, why is 向 used rather than 问 ?  他昨天向我借了五百块钱。
He asked to borrow 500 yuan from me yesterday.

Isn't 报导 bao4dao3 used for (news) reporting rather than 采访, which seems to be more "news gathering / interviewing"?

Isn't 紧急情况 more of an emergency situation than "difficult times"?

my guess is this is more a Buddhist concept of orifices and key points for the body's well being, but defer to those much more knowledgeable than me
