What program do you use for the character-pinyin conversion? I use Dimsum but the font are a little messy at first, but once you have the proper settings in the operating system (winxp here) it works quite well!

September 4, 2009 at 1:23 AMI have yet to watch a idol show in any language, but those of you who are familiar with the Chinese/Asian versions of these idol show and other of different regions, aside from the basic formula of judges and competitors, can anyone say if there is something specific to China?
This lesson is a great example when about globalisation, culture and consumerism!
I hope to hear some 不同看法。

What is the meaning sense of the word 酷？ I am thinking it could be like 隨便. At the same time i<m not sure if it could mean laid back or fashionable etc.

December 7, 2009 at 12:37 AMThis lesson is great! I love the way that male actors ( sorry there ) considerably changes their voices. The background noise is also a nice touch : I seldom get the chance to hear the native speakers from a studio environment!
