What about GMO ? I've heard that China produces genetically modified rice. Is it used in China ? Is it written on the products that it's GMO ? And how to say GMO in Chinese ?

When I read the dialog for the first time, just before listening to the show, I thought: "Oh my..., it will be quite difficult and boring, and not really very useful to me". But I listened to the show and you gave very interesting cultural informations ! Now I think: "I must study and listen to it again". So thank you and congratulations !!

Hello ! Are you sure it's an upper intermediate lesson ? It seems to be advanced to me... Very interesting anyway !

Even if topics of the lessons are not directly very useful or interesting to me, I have  always some grammar points or some vocabulary to grap in the lessons. That is why I like Chinesepod !

Greysparrow, I totally agree with you ! I love the lessons because of their linguistic and cultural content. I'm not an English native speaker and it's very useful to me to have different words in English. And I like hearing the orthography of the word when I'm just listening to the dialog and not both reading and listening to. It helps me to remember.

Even Croughnuts ? Waow ! Chinese food habits have really changed, right ? Who buys cakes, cupcakes and so on ? Young people ? Upper class ?

BTW, your explanations about loan words are very interesting.

Thanks, Jenny. I think you said his name, but I'm afraid I did not catch it.
