kelinsheng,

推拿 tuīná is what you are probably learning in your TCM course i.e. Chinese remedial massage

按摩 ānmó is more run-of-the-mill massage

the caution with massage (and acupuncture) during pregancy is because there are acpuncture points (even on the limbs) that can change the position of the foetus or bring on labour. these points can be used during the  later stage of pregnancy if there are difficulties.

Greg, putting the time phrase after zǒngshì or lǎoshì emphasises the time that the action always occurs. Putting time phrase before zǒngshì or lǎoshì puts the emphasis on the action that always occurs.

Amber zǎoshang zǒngshì yào hē yī bēi kāfēi: Every morning Amber has to have a cup of coffee.

kaohsiung, 'haw' is Chinese hawthorn. 中文叫山楂。是一種水果,也是中醫的一種草藥,對消化有利益的。吃過hawflakes嗎?也是來源山楂的食品。

Pete, I bought Peng's Chinese Treasury Series Chinese Radicals vol 1 - I think it's a good basic introduction to radicals but since it doesn't have the Chinese names for the radicals I haven't bothered buying vol 2.

A list of Chinese names for the radicals can be found here: page 1, page 2
