November 18, 2010 at 10:35 AM我觉得上帝创造了人类. 这就意味着'进化论'的存在. 所以即使说人类是由古猿进化而来的,他们还是有创造者.

November 18, 2010 at 10:03 AMThe thing is that every chinese student learns these stories in middle school, and to an extent hold these creation myths dear to them on account of them being part of the early stages of the development of the national chinese character. As such pangu will occasionally come up in conversation. The creation myths mentions are a part of the most basic general knowledge of the chines people. So I think it is a very useful lesson for people who are intersted in China.

love that quote you wrote down about the fallen flowers. It even sent shivers down my spine for some reason.
Thanks.

September 21, 2009 at 8:20 AM:)Yeah I would love to look into mongolian history. Have you heard of the book 'wolf totem'? The musings of a chinese guy who worked in mongolia during the cultural revolution and after. He had some fascinating experiences.
Recently I have been reading Davids story in the bible alot. I at first was repulsed by some of his deeds, but slowly I have come to admire this amazing king. He was a deep feeling man. His story has so many heroic and interesting quirks, for example the head of Davids body guards is only given a few lines. But we learn that he had defeated three man in combat situations were he was at a disadvantage, and once followed a lion down into a snowy pit and killed it. Now it may be myth, or exageration but it is a wonderful image of this man leaping down into a slippery cold hole and fighting with a wild beast.

David lived in the bronze ages and came from a farming family. I dont imagine that he would have been considred a peasant. His father owned animals and he could play the harp well. This leads one to believe he was intelligent and had some education.
Also David spent some of his youth in the royal palace, so he would have learnt plenty there.
He lived in a time of war and probably never needed to write anything after he became king, thats what scribes were for.

October 21, 2011 at 5:56 AM这个政策有很好的结果。你看印度这个国家,人口太多,人民也很穷。中国人的生活水平高多了。
但是迫使人们做堕胎却是很残忍。
