April 24, 2013 at 1:01 AMHad a pretty hilarious experience related to this the other day in Taiwan. I was with a local family and the mother kept saying 打飞机 by which she meant 坐飞机。I thought it was hilarious but didn't say anything as I did not want to be rude. Little did I know, everyone else was secretly laughing at me when during the same conversation I repeatedly said 有机鸡 when referring to the grandmother's organic chicken she brought on the picnic. (I should have been saying 有机的鸡，evidently.)
