It is indeed fair to suggest that might have been a better way to prompt action.

Well the first question depends on how severe the problem is I suppose....but I would think most. That seems like a pretty generous amount of time to fix a problem.

Otherwise, my feeling is that if you have grievances to air about Americans, that's perfectly fine, but there are a number of forums elsewhere on the internet where you could do that. Or start a discussion topic "Grievances about Americans unrelated to the study of Chinese or technical problems on the ChinesePod website" in the ChinesePod forums. As for "Its about time people from the States experienced how the rest of the world lives," I was honestly stunned that you decided that was a reasonable thing to type.

I am merely addressing that the 12 hour delay I experienced (not sure how long it was in actuality), fell between 10 am est to 10 pm est, a timezone where CPod has sales/customer service staff based (so yes, it was in fact business hours for them), and where I imagine a sizable percentage of CPod's customer base resides. You'll note I included Canada....so I am not trying to dismiss all non-US markets as inconsequential. Rather, I am saying that in a global market there are obviously a lot of people trying to use the website outside of Shanghai business hours.

Could definitely have been better. What % of users log in from US/Canada based IP addresses? They also have customer service based in US EST....

Something to work on for the future.

Exercises still not working...problem is not unique to me. Has been 12+ hours.

Could do without that opening exclamation in the dialogue....烦死了. Also, can't load the exercises.

我是凭经验区分的--可以怎么说吗?

Prior to coming to Asia I would agree with John's statement that I wouldn't have any idea. Having been to all three countries now (and lived extensively in China), I think I could hazard an educated guess in most cases (but not old people).

Once I was floating down the Li River around Yangshuo on a skiff. We passed several couples on the banks taking wedding photos. I would wave and then just as we were passing, yell, "他配不上你!“ Caused the skiff driver to cackle a couple times
